Welcome to Johannesburg Taichi House (TJH)! Wudang Sanfeng Taichi13 is originated in Wudang Mountain by Taoism monk ZHANG Sanfeng. It is a type of internal martial art characterized by slow flowing graceful movements. The practice of Taichi has numerous benefits physically and spiritually as well. It is designed to make the body parts to move into positions different from your routine habit. it can not only alleviate the backache and neck pain and can improves balance, flexibility, and coordination of the body as a whole. The movements of Taichi manifest the doctrines of I Ching and Yin-Yang that are included in the ancient Chinese classic - Tâo Teh King, therefore, Taichi is said to be “the art of the book”. Apart from Taichi 13, eight-piece brocade and five element Qi Kung are also offered bilingually (English & Chinese). The founder of JTH, George Dong, moved to Johannesburg by 2024 to promote Taichi in South African communities. He graduated in Central South University in China with a PhD in Chemical Engineering and specialized in mineral processing. He learnt simplified Taichi 24 during his early university life and went to Wudang mountain several times to study Taichi 13.
